These are some big, chunky, orange, acrylic melon beads that I found in an antique store and couldn't resist since I immediately saw PUMPKINS! They were loose in a bag so I have no provenance information on them. Condition is good pre-owned and they may have been harvested from another piece of completed jewelry. There may be some minor wear due to age and possible prior use but no major flaws.
I've paired them with green Czech glass beads to mimic the stems. Each 2 piece set measures about 25mm total in length and are drilled vertically. Holes in pumpkins are a bit over 1mm so you may need a head pin with a larger base or use a cap or seed bead to keep them from sliding off.
Admittedly, I've been a bit snobby about acrylic beads in the past but I'm becoming more and more fond of them, especially that fact that the larger ones are lighter weight and can be used for bold statement earrings.
